Benjamin Yeoh  / Ben Yeoh

I’m Ben Yeoh. I’m an investor, playwright and theatre-maker, writer and podcaster based in London.

I have written plays for theatres and BBC Radio. My adaptation of Nakamitsu won the Gate Theatre Translation Award and was produced at the Gate Theatre; other plays include Yellow Gentlemen, Lemon Love and Lost in Peru. My radio work includes Places in Between for BBC Radio 4, alongside work for BBC Radio 3 and the World Service. I have also served as Chair of both Talawa Theatre Company and Coney.

In my professional life, I’m a Senior Portfolio Manager in global equities at RBC Global Asset Management, specialising in healthcare. My wider interests include science, sustainability, corporate governance and how companies create long-term value.

I also host Ben Yeoh Chats, a long-form podcast built around curiosity. I speak with scientists, economists, writers, investors, artists and other people whose work I find interesting, usually about both their ideas and how they came to them.

I studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge and later at Harvard on a Herchel Smith scholarship. Much of my work has ended up somewhere between disciplines: science and culture, markets and institutions, theatre and ideas.
